I love you Nana, Rest in Peace.

Something for you Nana, I’ve had it for a while, I hold on to it quite dearly, I need it to live, and I want you to know you’re always there. You’re always in my heart. When I dance it’s because I think of your love to dance and your love to sing. When I see the radio with its blue speakers, I’ll never forget the many times I sat with you in your room and listened to music. I’ll never forget the time you taught me the first Spanish words of my life. The times you cooked for us are also finely drawn into my sketchbook of memories. Thank you for teaching me to always be myself and to always stick to the originality. Thank you for having the strength and fight you had that made me smile. I’m proud to have called you my dancing, singing, great grandma. You’re still here and the taint on my life you caused will never be less than a blessing. Thank you, Nana, for being with me forever and taking care of us all. Te amo para siempre.
